The Dubai International Award for Best Practices in Sustainable Development was jointly established by UN-Habitat and Dubai Municipality in 1995. Over the past 27 years, award winners have been recognized as well as selected high-quality proposals published in the best practices database available on the Urban Agenda platform. The award is awarded in five categories, which are:
Urban renewal and public spaces.
Create the most beautiful sustainable building in the world.
Sustainability of urban and food systems.
Addressing climate change and reducing pollution.
Urban infrastructure planning and management.
The applications for the award is now open through the official award website www.dubaiaward.ae, and application rules and guidelines, application forms and other materials can be downloaded through the website.
The deadline for submitting applications will be Thursday, 08/31/2023, via the award’s website. The awards ceremony will be held during the World Government Forum in Dubai, UAE 2024, where the winners in each of the five categories will receive a cash prize of US$200,000 in addition to a certificate and shield of appreciation.
