Invitation for Village Councils to Apply for Subgrant in Area 'C'

APLA and by the fund of the European Union and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, launched a call for village councils in the West Bank to submit proposals for the implementation of development projects in areas “C”. Focusing at services and improving contributions to regional integration through sub-grants that support social and economic development initiatives implemented by local authorities.

APLA stated that these sub-grants aim to support the development initiatives on which the village councils are based and aim at developing local communities from the economic and social aspects, including projects that provide job opportunities or generate income for families in the communities located in the so-called “C” areas, such as development projects. Economic, projects to support and develop social services, environmental projects, community development projects, especially youth initiatives, cultural projects and preservation of cultural heritage, projects to develop rural and agricultural areas, women’s empowerment projects, entrepreneurship and job creation projects, projects to achieve justice, human rights and capacity building. The winning projects will be selected to be funded based on a list of clear criteria and through the specialized evaluation committee.
