As part of its efforts to institutionalize the SDG Taskforce and enhance the engagement of Palestinian local authorities in the global development agenda, (APLA) organized a specialized training titled “Sustainable Development Goals Related to Decentralized Cooperation and Governance.” The training brought together representatives from 30 local authorities across the Nablus, Ramallah, and Hebron governorates.

Over the course of six sessions, Dr. Abdel Fattah Al-Shamleh delivered a rich program combining conceptual frameworks and interactive exercises, highlighting decentralized cooperation as a tool for promoting local development and building effective partnerships, alongside the concept of governance as a framework ensuring transparency, accountability, and coordination across different levels of administration. The training also provided participants with opportunities to exchange experiences, explore international case studies, and draw practical lessons to strengthen their capacity in developing sustainable partnership proposals and initiatives.
